Syllabus
Our SAT syllabus provides a structured approach to SAT test preparation, covering Math, Reading, Writing, and Essay skills. Designed to build both subject mastery and effective test-taking strategies, it helps students improve scores, develop critical thinking, and gain confidence for college admissions success.
Digital SAT Math Syllabus 2025
The Digital SAT Math section is divided into two modules, each lasting 35 minutes, for a total of 70 minutes. The exam consists of 44 questions, including multiple-choice and student-produced response (SPR) questions. The content is organized into four main domains:
1. Algebra (35%)
Linear Equations & Inequalities: Solving and interpreting one-variable and two-variable equations and inequalities.
Systems of Equations: Solving systems using substitution and elimination methods.
Functions: Understanding function notation, evaluating functions, and interpreting linear and exponential functions.
Expressions & Equations: Simplifying algebraic expressions and solving for variables.
2. Advanced Math (35%)
Quadratic Equations: Solving quadratic equations by factoring, completing the square, and using the quadratic formula.
Polynomials: Operations with polynomials, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Exponential Functions: Understanding and applying exponential growth and decay models.
Nonlinear Functions: Working with absolute value, rational, and radical equations.
3. Problem-Solving & Data Analysis (15%)
Ratios & Proportions: Solving problems involving proportional relationships and rates.
Percentages: Calculating percentages, percent increase/decrease, and solving percentage problems.
Data Interpretation: Analyzing one-variable and two-variable data sets, including measures of central tendency and spread.
Probability: Understanding and calculating basic probability and conditional probability.
Statistical Inference: Drawing conclusions from data, including understanding margin of error and sample size.
4. Geometry & Trigonometry (15%)
Lines & Angles: Understanding properties of parallel and perpendicular lines, angle relationships, and geometric proofs.
Triangles: Properties of triangles, including the Pythagorean theorem and special right triangles.
Circles: Calculating circumference, area, and understanding properties of arcs and sectors.
Coordinate Geometry: Working with the coordinate plane, including distance and midpoint formulas, and the equation of a line.
Trigonometry: Understanding sine, cosine, and tangent ratios, and applying them to solve right triangle problems.

The SAT Verbal section evaluates students’ skills in reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and analytical writing. This syllabus provides comprehensive coverage, builds mastery, and incorporates strategic test-taking techniques for the new digital SAT format.
1. Reading Comprehension (55%)
Passage Analysis (20%): Understand main ideas, themes, and arguments across prose, fiction, and nonfiction passages.
Detail & Evidence Questions (15%): Locate textual evidence to support answers.
Inference & Reasoning (10%): Draw logical conclusions and make predictions based on textual information.
Author’s Purpose & Tone (5%): Identify author’s intent, perspective, and tone.
Synthesis Across Texts (5%): Compare multiple passages and analyze contrasting viewpoints.
2. Vocabulary in Context (10%)
Word Meaning (4%): Determine word meaning based on context.
Connotation & Denotation (2%): Recognize subtle differences in word meaning.
Context Clues (3%): Use surrounding text to infer unfamiliar words.
Idiomatic Expressions & Phrasing (1%): Correct usage of standard expressions.
3. Grammar & Writing (30%)
Sentence Structure (6%): Correct fragments, run-ons, and parallel structures.
Verb Tense & Agreement (5%): Ensure correct tense and subject-verb agreement.
